Ickstatthaus The highest Baroque façade in southern Germany

For a period of 30 years from 1746 to 1776, jurist Johann Adam von Ickstatt steered the fortunes of the Hohe Schule as its director. A proponent of the Enlightenment, Ickstatt is seen as a reformer of the Bavarian education system. Boasting the highest Baroque façade in southern Germany, his house – known as the Ickstatthaus – is one of Ingolstadt's most outstanding sights.
