CLOSENESS TO NATURE AND MINDFULNESS AS A HEALTH RESOURCE
The Japanese term “Shinrin-Yoku” roughly means “taking a bath in the atmosphere of the
forest.” In Japan, “forest bathing” is already an integral part of preventive health care, as
many studies have proved its effectiveness, because many studies have been able to prove
its effectiveness. While slowly strolling in a group, small guided exercises in mindfulness,
perception, breathing and meditation are performed.
