Getting here by Train

Deutsche Bahn operates an ICE stop in Ingolstadt for travellers from within Germany. Getting to Ingolstadt from all major German cities will feel like just a short step. And Munich Airport is just one hour away; the Airport Express shuttle departs for Ingolstadt hourly.

Getting here by Bus

Germany’s test winning long distance bus company FlixBus offers low cost, efficient and daily connections to Ingolstadt! FlixBus will take you directly to Ingolstadt’s main station without any changes. Each passenger may take two pieces of baggage (each piece weighing up to 23 kg) free of charge, with just a € 3.00 surcharge for an additional piece of baggage.

Keen cyclists will enjoy approaching Ingolstadt along the Danube Cycle Path, which runs from the sources of the Danube right across Bavaria, through Ingolstadt, and on to Vienna. One of the major stopping-off points in Bavaria is Ingolstadt. The cycle path passes right through the historical Old Town, past numerous beer gardens. Take a break in the shade of their ancient trees and order a hearty traditional snack.

Getting here by Plane

Although Ingolstadt does not have an airport, the region does have a special airfield in Manching. INVG operates a public bus service between Munich Airport and Ingolstadt with a total of 20 departures in each direction per day.
